கண்ணா! நீ அசுரர்களுடன் போரிட நேரலாம்: போகாதே

உன்தன்திருவுள்ளமிடர்கெடுந்தோறும் * நாங்கள்
வியக்கவின்புறுதும்எம்பெண்மையாற்றோம்
எம்பெருமான்! பசுமேய்க்கப்போகேல் *
மிகப்பலவசுரர்கள்வேண்டுமுருவங்கொண்டு
நின்றுஉழிதருவர்கஞ்சனேவ *

Simple Translation

3813. My Lord, we are not the jealous sort who would begrudge Your affection for others. When You revel in their company, we will be elated too. Therefore, please refrain from tending the cows. There is also the lurking danger of Kaṃsa’s agents, who roam about in unknown forms. If You were to encounter them while with the cows, I fear what might happen. Alas, I cannot say. Please heed my advice and do not follow the cows.

(i) Kṛṣṇa was in no mood to swallow the Gopī’s statement, in the preceding song, that she would allow Him to flirt with other ladies, right in front of her. He thought it was a mere ruse to keep him back, as it was against their grain to suffer gladly Kṛṣṇa making love to other ladies, and that too, in their presence. In the preceding pāśuram, Śrī Nammāzhvār, in the state of Parāṅguśa Nāyakī, expressed the unbearable nature of her separation from the Lord. Continuing this divine exchange, Emperumān now mercifully poses a question to her: "Would it be palatable to you if I were to interact with some others, even in your very presence?"
