நாகணையானைப் பாடு

9 உடுத்துக்களைந்த நின்பீதகவாடையுடுத்துக் கலத்ததுண்டு *
தொடுத்ததுழாய்மலர்சூடிக்களைந்தன சூடும்இத்தொண்டர்களோம் *
விடுத்ததிசைக்கருமம்திருத்தித் திருவோணத்திருவிழவில் *
படுத்தபைந்நாகணைப்பள்ளிகொண்டானுக்குப் பல்லாண்டுகூறுதுமே.

Simple Translation

9. We, your devotees, wear the silk clothes You wore, put on the thulasi garlands that adorned You, eat the food (prasadam) that is left over after You eat and carry out your orders everywhere as You desire from us. On the auspicious SRavanā day, let us praise Him, who rests on the snake bed and say Pallāndu!

Detailed WBW explanation

Uduttha – The act of wearing a cloth around the waist such that it retains the sacred stains of turmeric and sandalwood paste is a practice full of auspiciousness. We, the devoted servitors, pray fervently to receive such cloth, which symbolizes eternal service and remembrance of our divine master, Namperumāl, in a manner that is forever pleasing and reverential.
