Simple Translation
477. O Varunā, lord of rains, shower plentifully without holding.
O cloud, you plunge into the ocean, scoop up water and rise,
looking like the dark form of the lord of the eon,
with lightning like the discus that shines in the hands
of Lord Padmanābhān, roaring thunderously like the sound
of his conch, and pouring rain like the arrows from the
Sārangam bow.
Shower rain abundantly for us to live happily.
O girls, come let us bathe and rejoice in this month of Markazhi
and go to worship our Pāvai.
