கண்ணன் கழல்களைப் பணிக

880 மற்றுமோர்தெய்வமுண்டே? மதியிலாமானிடங்காள் *
உற்றபோதன்றிநீங்கள் ஒருவனென்றுணரமாட்டீர் *
அற்றமேலொன்றறீயீர் அவனல்லால்தெய்வமில்லை *
கற்றினம்மேய்த்தவெந்தை கழலிணைபணிமின்நீரே.

Simple Translation

880. O ignorant men! Is there any other god? You will not understand that he (Arangan) is the only god unless you are in trouble. You should know one thing for sure: there is no god except him. Worship the ankleted feet of our father who grazed the calves.

maṝūmŏr dheyvam uṇdĕ – Other than the entity I am speaking of, is there any other entity supreme enough to attain? While there may be those who claim “I am the Controller,” there is no one else who possesses the divinity and natural affinity toward us, that would make them worthy of being attained. As stated in Śrī Bhagavad Gītā (9.23):
