எனக்கு இனி என்ன கதி?

901 மனத்திலோர்தூய்மையில்லை வாயிலோரின்சொலில்லை *
சினத்தினால் செற்றம் நோக்கித் தீவிளிவிளிவன்வாளா *
புனத்துழாய்மாலையானே! பொன்னிசூழ்திருவரங்கா *
எனக்கினிக்கதியென் சொல்லாய்? என்னையாளுடைய கோவே!

Simple Translation

901. I don’t have a pure mind and no good words come from my mouth. I get very angry, shout and say bad things. You are adorned with fresh thulasi garlands, lord of Srirangam, surrounded by the Ponni river. Tell me, what will happen to me, O my ruler.

manaththilŏr thūymaiyillai

āzhvār begins by admitting that his mind is impure, referencing the teaching from Śrī Viṣṇu Purāṇam (1.4.41) which says that only those with a purified mind can understand that the entire world is pervaded by knowledge and is the body of emperumān. The Chāndogya Upaniṣad (3.13.7) similarly teaches that the paramāthma cannot be perceived
