உன் விருப்பம் போல் அவன் குணங்களைக் கூறு

Simple Translation

2033. The lord is the earth, wind, water, fire, the sky, a beautiful heap of shining jewels, nectar, a river of joy for his devotees, Yama for the Asuras like Hiranyan and he stays in the Himalayas. He is as strong as a bull and he destroyed Lankā surrounded with protected walls. O heart, think of the divine nature of the lord and praise him, praise him.

காற்றினை புனலை — காற்று நீர் வாயு ஆகாசம்; தீயை — தீ ஆகியவற்றை தன் சரீரமாக உடையவனும்; கடி மதிள் — அரணான மதிள்களையுடைய; இலங்கை செற்ற — இலங்கையை அழித்த; ஏற்றினை — காளை போன்றவனும்; இமயம் மேய — இமயமலையில் இருப்பவனும்; எழில் — அழகிய; மணித் திரளை — மணித்திரள் போன்றவனும்; இன்ப ஆற்றினை — இன்ப வெள்ளமாயிருப்பவனும்; அமுதம் தன்னை — அமுதம் போன்றவனும்; அவுணன் ஆர் — இரணியனின் அரிய; உயிரை உண்ட — உயிரை உண்ட; கூற்றினை — யமன் போன்ற எம்பெருமானின்; குணங்கொண்டு — திருக்குணங்களை; உள்ளம்! — உள்ளத்தில் சிந்தித்து ஈடுபட்டு; நீ கூறு — நீ கூறுவாயாக; கூறுமாறே! — இதைக் காட்டிலும் வேறு பேறு உண்டோ?

tīyai — He who has as His body fire; kāṟṟiṉai puṉalai — air, water, wind, and sky; ilaṅkai cĕṟṟa — destroyed the Lanka; kadi matil̤ — that had fortified walls; eṟṟiṉai — He is like a bull; imayam meya — who resides in Himalayas; ĕzhil — and is like beautiful; maṇit tiral̤ai — gems; amutam taṉṉai — the Lord who is a nectar; iṉpa āṟṟiṉai — who is like an ocean of blis; kūṟṟiṉai — and also is a Yama (Lord of death); uyirai uṇda — who took the life; avuṇaṉ ār — of Hiranyan; ul̤l̤am! — Meditate upon and get absorbed in; kuṇaṅkŏṇdu — His divine qualities; nī kūṟu — and tell me; kūṟumāṟe! — is there any blessing greater than this?
