If One Praises Araṅgan, Evil Karmas Will Vanish

அரங்கனை வாழ்த்தினால் தீவினைகள் நீங்கும்

825 அறிந்தறிந்துவாமனன் அடியிணைவணங்கினால் *
செறிந்தெழுந்தஞானமோடு செல்வமும்சிறந்திடும் *
மறிந்தெழுந்ததெண்டிரையுள் மன்னுமாலைவாழ்த்தினால் *
பறிந்தெழுந்துதீவினைகள் பற்றறுதல்பான்மையே.

Simple Translation

825. If you really know that your refuge is the feet of him who took the form of Vāmanan and worship him, you will have wealth and wonderful wisdom. If you praise Thirumāl who rests on the ocean with its clear rolling waves, you will not have the results of your bad karmā.

If the boundless and readily accessible grace of Emperumān is indeed the sole means (upāya) for attaining liberation (mōkṣam), that is, reaching the eternal realm of Śrī Vaikuṇṭham, a profound question arises: what must the aspirant, the one who deeply desires this liberation, do to become a worthy recipient of this divine mercy?
