நாதனின் ஊர் அரங்கம்

800 கொண்டைகொண்டகோதைமீது தேனுலாவுகூனிகூன்
உண்டைகொண்டரங்கவோட்டி உள்மகிழ்ந்தநாதனூர் *
நண்டையுண்டுநாரைபேர வாளைபாய, நீலமே *
அண்டைகொண்டுகெண்டைமேயும் அந்தணீரரங்கமே. (2)

800 kŏṇṭai kŏṇṭa kotai mītu * teṉ ulāvu kūṉi kūṉ *
uṇṭai kŏṇṭu araṅka oṭṭi * ul̤ makizhnta nātaṉ ūr **

Simple Translation

800. The Thirupadi of the god who threw a ball happily at the hump on the back of Manthara, the servant of Kaikeyi with hair adorned with flowers swarming with bees, is Srirangam surrounded by water where kendai fish swim about, valai fish jump and cranes swallow crabs.
