உன்னை யாரால் மதிக்க முடியும்?

778 விண்கடந்தசோதியாய் விளங்குஞானமூர்த்தியாய் *
பண்கடந்ததேசமேவு பாவநாசநாதனே *
எண்கடந்தயோகினோடு இரந்துசென்றுமாணியாய் *
மண்கடந்தவண்ணம்நின்னை யார்மதிக்கவல்லரே?

778 viṇ kaṭanta cotiyāy * vil̤aṅku ñāṉa mūrttiyāy *
paṇ kaṭanta tecam mevu * pāvanāca nātaṉe **
ĕṇ kaṭanta yokiṉoṭu * irantu cĕṉṟu māṇiyāy *

Simple Translation

778. You who destroy people’s sins are the light that shines crossing the sky, the bright form of wisdom and music. You went to king Mahābali as a dwarf-sage, begged for his land, and measured the earth with one foot, grew tall and measured the sky with the other. Who will respect you for how you cheated Mahābali?
