அடியேனுள்ளம் விட்டு நீங்காதவன் நாரணன்

2652 கல்லும் கனைகடலும் வைகுந்தவானாடும் *
புல்லென்றொழிந்தனகொல்? ஏபாவம்! * - வெல்ல
நெடியான் நிறங்கரியான் உள்புகுந்துநீங்கான் *

Simple Translation

2652. Does he wish to stay in the Thiruvenkatam hills, on the roaring ocean, in Vaikuntam, or the world in the sky? Or does he feel they are not fitting places for him? O what is this strange thing! Tall and dark, he entered the heart of me, his slave, and does not want to leave it.

வெல்ல நெடியான் — மிக உயர்ந்தவனும்; நிறம் கரியான் — கருத்த நிறமுடையவனும்; உள் புகுந்து — அடியேனது உள்ளத்தைவிட்டு; நீங்கான் — நீங்குகின்றானில்லை; கல்லும் — திருவேங்கடமலையும்; கனை கடலும் — திருப்பாற்கடலும்; வைகுந்த — வைகுந்தமென்னும்; வான் நாடும் — வானுலகும்; புல் என்று — புல்லைப் போன்று அல்பமாகி; ஒழிந்தன கொல் — விட்டன போலும்; அடியேனது — அடியேன் மனமே; உள்ளத்து அகம் — பெரியதென்று புகுந்தானே; ஏ பாவம்! — ஐயோ பாவம்

vella nediyān — being very great; niṛam kariyān — emperumān who is black in complexion; ul̤ pugundhu — entering me; adiyĕnadhu ul̤l̤aththu agam — from my heart; nīngān — will not separate and go; kallum — thiruvĕngadamalai (hills of thirumala); kanai kadalum — roaring thiruppāṛdakal (milky ocean); vaigundha vānādum — ṣrīvaikuṇtam, also known as paramapadham; pul enṛu ozhin dhana kol — have they become deserted (such that grass has grown tall)?; ĕ pāvam — ŏh, how sad!
