திருமாலையே தேவர்கள் தொழுவர்

2648 பரனாமவனாதல் பாவிப்பராகில் *
உரனாலொருமூன்றுபோதும் * - மரமேழன்று
எய்தானைப் புள்ளின் வாய்கீண்டானையே * அமரர்
கைதான்தொழாவேகலந்து.

2648 paraṉ ām avaṉ ātal * pāvippar ākil *

Simple Translation

2648. He shot arrows and destroyed the seven marā trees and he split open the mouth of Bāhasuran when he came as a bird. If the gods in the sky know that he is the highest god and know his heroic deeds, won’t they fold their hands and worship him?

அன்று — முன்பொரு சமயம் ஸுக்ரீவன் நம்புவதற்காக; மரம் ஏழ் — ஏழு சால மரங்களை; எய்தானை — துளைத்த ராமனையும்; புள்ளின் வாய் — பகாஸுரனது வாயை; கீண்டானையே — கிழித்தெறிந்த கண்ணனையும்; அவன் — அவர்கள் இருவரும்; பரன் ஆம் ஆதல் — பரம புருஷர்களானதால்; உரனால் — இவர்களை உண்மையான உள்ளத்தால்; ஒரு மூன்று போதும் — மூன்று வேளையும்; பாவிப்பர் ஆகில் — வணங்குவார்களேயாகில்; அமரர் — அப்படிப்பட்டவர்களை தேவர்களும்; கைதான் கலந்து — கை கூப்பி; தொழாவே — வணங்குவார்களன்றோ?

anṛu — at an earlier point of time; ĕzh maram eydhānai — one who shot a single arrow at and felled seven trees; pul̤l̤in vāy kīṇdānai — one who tore the mouth of a demon who came in the form of a stork; avan — that emperumān; paran ādhal — is the supreme entity; amarargal̤ — celestial entities; oru mūnṛu pŏdhum — at all times (past, present and future); uranāl pāvipparāgil — if they think, with their minds; kaidhān — (their) hands; kalandhu thozhāvĕ — will they not join together and worship him?
