மாயனே மாபெருந்தெய்வம்

2644 பேர்ந்தொன்று நோக்காது பின்னிற்பாய்நில்லாப்பாய் *
ஈன்துழாய்மாயனையே என்னெஞ்சே! * பேர்ந்தெங்கும்
தொல்லைமாவெந்நரகில் சேராமல்காப்பதற்கு *
இல்லைகாண்மற்றோரிறை.

Simple Translation

2644. O my heart, whether you think always of Māyan adorned with a divine thulasi garland and stay with him or not, it is up to you, but there is no other god who can protect you and save you from falling into cruel hell.

என் நெஞ்சே! — என் மனமே!; பேர்ந்து ஒன்று — மனம் மாறி வேறு எதையும்; நோக்காது — கவனிக்காமல்; ஈன் துழாய் — துளசிமாலை அணிந்துள்ள; மாயனையே — மாயனையே; பின் நிற்பாய் — வாழ்த்தி வணங்கு; நில்லாப்பாய் — வணங்காமல் இராதே; தொல்லை — தொன்றுதொட்டு; மா வெம் நரகில் — பெரும் கொடிய நரகத்தில்; சேராமல் காப்பதற்கு — போய்ச் சேராமல் நம்மை காக்க; பேர்ந்து — இவனை விட்டு; மற்றோர் இறை — வேறு ஒரு பெருமான்; எங்கும் இல்லை — எங்கும் இல்லை; காண் — வேறு ஒரு உபாயமும் இல்லை இதை புரிந்து கொள்

en nenjĕ — ŏh my mind!; thollai — ancient; mā — expansive; vem — cruel; naragil — in the hell of samsāram; sĕrāmal — not to be trapped; kāppadhaṛku — to protect; engum pĕrndhu — even if one enters any other place; maṝu ŏr iṛai illai kāṇ — you would see that there is no other protector; pĕrndhu — leaving him; onṛum nŏkkādhu — not looking at anyone else; īn thuzhāy māyanaiyĕ — only the amaśing entity who is wearing thul̤asi garland; pin niṛpāy — follow him; nillāppāy — get destroyed, not following him
