எங்கும் நிறைந்திருப்பவர் திருமால்

2631 நினித்திறைஞ்சிமானிடவர் ஒன்றிரப்பரென்றே *
நினைத்திடவும்வேண்டாநீநேரே * - நினைத்திறஞ்ச
எவ்வளவர்எவ்விடத்தோர்மாலே! * அதுதானும்
எவ்வளவுமுண்டோ? எமக்கு.

2631 niṉaittu iṟaiñci māṉiṭavar * ŏṉṟu irappar ĕṉṟe *

Simple Translation

2631. O Thirumāl, do not think that all people worship you only to ask for material things. You do not understand that wise ones ask only for your grace. Where are those wise people who think of you and receive your grace? How many are there? Could I achieve what they have done?

மாலே! — திருமாலே!; மானிடவர் — மனிதர்கள்; நினைத்து — உன்னை நினைத்து; இறைஞ்சி — வணங்கி; ஒன்று — ஏதாவது ஒரு பலனை; இரப்பர் — வேண்டிப் பெறுவார்கள்; என்றே நீ நினைத்திடவும் — என்று நீ எண்ணவும்; வேண்டா — வேண்டாம்; நேரே — உன்னை உபாயமாகவும் உபேயமாகவும்; நினைத்து — நினைத்து; இறைஞ்ச — வணங்கி வழிபட; எவ் அளவர்? — எந்த அளவு அறிவு உடையர்?; எவ்விடத்தோர் — இவ்வுலகத்தில் அப்படிப்பட்ட; அது தானும் எவ்வளவும் — அவ்வளவு அறிவு ஏற்பட; உண்டோ எமக்கு? — வாய்ப்பும் உண்டோ எமக்கு?

(who cannot be estimated); mānidar — manushyas (chĕthanas or samsāris, dwellers of the materialistic realm); ninaiththu — thinking; iṛainji — worshipping; onṛu irappar — will seek a small benefit; enṛu — saying like this; nī — you; ninaiththidavum vĕṇdā — do not think; nĕrĕ ninaiththu — thinking (of you), as you are; iṛainja — to worship; evval̤avar — how much knowledge do they (samsāris) have?; evvidaththār — in which place are they?; adhu thānum — that too (seeking other benefits); evval̤avum — even a little bit; emakku uṇdŏ — do we (who have your grace), have?
