திருமாலை நீழல்போல் பின்பற்றினோம்

2615 அழகுமறிவோமாய் வல்வினையைத்தீர்ப்பான் *
நிழலுமடிதோறுமானோம் * - சுழலக்
குடங்கள் தலைமீதெடுத்துக்கொண்டாடி * அன்றுஅத்
தடங்கடலைமேயார் தமக்கு.

Simple Translation

2615. He put a pot on his head, danced and then went to the wide ocean and rested on Adishesa. We have found the way to remove our karmā and it is to know his grace and beauty, approaching him and bowing to his feet and staying in his shadow.

குடங்கள் தலை மீது — குடங்களைத் தலைமீது; எடுத்துக் கொண்டு — வைத்துக் கொண்டு; அன்று — அன்று குடக் கூத்தாடின; சுழல — களைப்புத் தீர; அத்தடம் — அப்பெரிய; கடலை — திருப்பாற்கடலிலேயே; மேயார் தமக்கு — போய்ச் சேர்ந்த பெருமானுக்கு; நிழலும் — பாத நிழலாகவும்; அடி தாறும் — பாத ரேகையாகவும்; ஆனோம் ஆடி — ஆனோம்; வல்வினையும் — ஆகவே நம் பாபங்களை; தீர்ப்பான் அழகும் — தீர்த்துக் கொள்ளும் அழகிய; அறிவோமாய் — உபாயத்தையும் அறிந்தோம்

val vinaiyai — cruel sins; thīrppān — to get rid of; azhagum aṛivŏmāy — having the beautiful knowledge (that emperumān is our means to attain him); kudangal̤ thalai mīdhu eduththukkoṇdu suzhala ādi — keeping the pots on top of the head and dancing in such a way that they come down spinning (from the sky); anṛu — after that; a thadam kadalai — that expansive thiruppāṛkadal (milky ocean); mĕyār thamakku — for emperumān, who attained (in order to take rest after having danced with the pots); nizhalum adithāṛum ānŏm — we became his shadow and his pādhuka (footwear)
