ஆழியானை அகக்கண்ணால் காணலாம்

2612 அன்றேநம்கண்காணும் ஆழியான்காருருவம் *
இன்றேநாம்காணாதிருப்பதுவும் * - என்றேனும்
கட்கண்ணால் காணாதஅவ்வுருவை * நெஞ்சென்னும்
உட்கண்ணேல்காணுமுணர்ந்து.

2612 aṉṟe nam kaṇ kāṇum * āzhiyāṉ kār uruvam *

Simple Translation

2612. Our eyes cannot see the dark form of the lord with a discus, we can only feel him in our hearts, our inner eyes. We should not feel that we are not seeing him because he is in our hearts and that is where we can see him.

என்றேனும் — எக்காலத்திலும்; கட்கண்ணால் — புறக் கண்ணால்; காணாத — காணமுடியாத; அவ் வுருவை — எம்பெருமானின் உருவத்தை; நெஞ்சு என்னும் — மனம் என்னும்; உட்கண்ணேல் — அகக் கண்ணால்; காணும் — காணும் பரம பக்தி; உணர்ந்து — உண்டானால்; அன்றே — அன்றே; ஆழியான் — சக்கரத்தை கையிலுடையவனின்; கார் உருவம் — கருத்த திருமேனி; நம் கண் காணும் — நம் கண் முன் தோன்றும்; இன்றே — இன்று நாம் பார்க்க முடியாத; இருப்பதுவும் — காரணம்; நாம் காணாது — அகக் கண் கொண்டு பார்க்காததால்

kaṇ kaṇṇāl — with the external eye which goes by the name of ‘eye’; enṛĕnum kāṇādha — cannot be seen at any point of time; avvuruvai — that divine form; nenju ennum — what is called as mind; ul̤ kaṇ — eye which is inside; uṇarndhu kāṇumĕl — if it can visualise; anṛĕ — at that time itself; āzhiyān kār uruvam — the dark divine form of one who holds the divine disc in his hand; nam kaṇ kāṇum — our external eye will also see; nām kāṇādhiruppadhuvum — our inability to see emperumān; inṛĕ — now (when we cannot visualise him with our heart)
