அரங்கன் பத்துத் தலைகள் துணித்தவன் ஊர் இது

1801 சிரமுனைந்துமைந்தும் சிந்தச்சென்று * அரக்கன்
உரமும்கரமும்துணித்த உரவோனூர்போலும் *
இரவும்பகலும் ஈன்தேன் முரல * மன்றெல்லாம்
குரவின்பூவேதான் மணம்நாறும்குறுங்குடியே.

Simple Translation

1801. The heroic god who went to Lankā fought and pierced the chest of the ten-headed Rakshasā Rāvana and cut off his hands - stays in Thirukkurungudi where bees that make honey swarm night and day in the mandram and kuravam blossoms spread their fragrance everywhere.
