புல்லாணிப் பெருமான் பேச்சையே கேட்பேன்

1782 வில்லால்இலங்கைமலங்கச் சரம்துரந்த *
வல்லாளன்பின்போன நெஞ்சம்வருமளவும் *
எல்லாரும்என்தன்னை ஏசிலும்பேசிடினும் *
புல்லாணியெம்பெருமான் பொய்கேட்டிருந்தேனே.

Simple Translation

1782. She says, “ My heart has gone to the strong archer Rāma who shot his arrows in battle in Lankā and killed the Rākshasas. Even if everyone scolds me and gossips about me, I will stay here believing the lies that my dear lord of Thiruppullāni told me until my heart returns. ”
