1762 கோழியும்கூடலும்கோயில்கொண்ட
கோவலரேஒப்பர், குன்றமன்ன *
பாழியந்தோளும் ஓர்நான்குடையர்
பண்டு இவர்தம்மையும்கண்டறியோம் *
வாழியரோஇவர்வண்ணம்எண்ணில்
மாகடல்போன்றுளர், கையில்வெய்ய *
ஆழியொன்றேந்திஓர்சங்குபற்றி

Simple Translation

1762. She says about the lord of Thirunāgai, “He, the cowherd with four mighty mountain-like arms looks like the god of the temples in Woraiyur and ThirukKoodal. We have not seen him before. Let us praise him. If you see him, he looks like the dark ocean and holds in his hands a heroic discus and a conch. Acho, how can I describe his beauty!”

கோழியும் — உறையூரையும்; கூடலும் — மதுரையையும்; கோயில் கொண்ட — இருப்பிடமாகவுடைய; கோவலரே ஒப்பர் — அரசர் போன்றிருக்கின்றார்; குன்றம் அன்ன — மலை போன்ற; பாழி அம் — வலிமையான அழகிய; ஓர் நான்கு — ஒப்பற்ற நான்கு; தோளும் உடையர் — தோள்களையுடையவர்; பண்டு இவர் தம்மையும் — இதற்கு முன்பு; கண்டறியோம் — நாம் இவரைப் பார்த்ததில்லை; வாழியரோ! — பல்லாண்டு பல்லாண்டு; இவர் — வாழ்க இவர்; வண்ணம் — இவர் வடிவத்தின்; எண்ணில் — பெருமையோ; மா கடல் போன்று — பெரிய கடல்போன்றது; உளர் கையில் வெய்ய — ஒரு கையில் ஒளியுள்ள; ஆழி ஒன்று ஏந்தி — ஒரு சக்கரம் ஏந்தியும்; ஓர் சங்கு பற்றி — மறு கையில் ஓரு சங்குமுடைய; அழகியவா! ஒருவர் — இவருடைய ஒப்பற்ற அழகை; அச்சோ ஆவர் — என்னவென்று கூறுவேன்!
