என் வரிவளைகளை இழந்துவிட்டேன்

1672 வாயெடுத்தமந்திரத்தால் அந்தணர்தம்செய்தொழில்கள் *
தீயெடுத்துமறைவளர்க்கும் திருக்கண்ணபுரத்துறையும் *
தாயெடுத்தசிறுகோலுக்கு உளைந்தோடி * தயிருண்ட
வாய்துடைத்தமைந்தனுக்கு இழந்தேன்என்வரிவளையே.

1672 vāy ĕṭutta mantirattāl * antaṇar tam cĕy tŏzhilkal̤ *
tī ĕṭuttu maṟai val̤arkkum * tirukkaṇṇapurattu uṟaiyum **
tāy ĕṭutta ciṟu kolukku * ul̤aintu oṭi tayir uṇṭa *
vāy tuṭaitta maintaṉukku * izhanteṉ-ĕṉ vari val̤aiye-5

Simple Translation

1672. She says, “ My curved bangles grow loose and fall from my arms, for the lord who, as a little boy Kannan, ran around wiping his mouth when his mother Yashodā chased him with a small stick because he has stolen yogurt and eaten it. He stays in Thirukkannapuram where Vediyars make fires, perform sacrifices and recite the mantras of the Vedās. ”
