திருமங்கை மணாளன் திருக்கண்ணமங்கையில் உள்ளான்

1643 துப்பனைத்துரங்கம்படச்சீறியதோன்றலைச்
சுடர்வான்கலன்பெய்ததோர்
செப்பினை * திருமங்கைமணாளனைத்
தேவனைத்திகழும்பவளத்தொளி
யொப்பனை * உலகேழினைஊழியை
ஆழியேந்தியகையனை அந்தணர்
கற்பினை * கழுநீர்மலரும்வயல்
கண்ணமங்கையுள்கண்டுகொண்டேனே.

Simple Translation

1643. The lord who carries a discus in his hand, is a bright precious coral, a pot where jewels are stored, the beloved of beautiful Lakshmi all the seven worlds and the end of the eon. He taught the Vedās to the sages and fought and destroyed the Asuran that came as a horse. I found him in Thirukannamangai surrounded with fields where kazhuneer flowers bloom.

துப்பனை — பலமுள்ளவனை; துரங்கம் — குதிரைவடிவாய் வந்த அஸுரன்; படச் சீறிய — அழியும்படி சீற்றங்கொண்ட; தோன்றலை — பெருமானை; சுடர் வான் — ஒளிபொருந்திய சிறந்த; கலன் பெய்தது — ஆபரணங்களை வைப்பதற்குரிய; ஓர் செப்பினை — ஓர் பெட்டகம் போறவனை; திருமங்கை மணாளனை — திருமகளின் நாதனை; தேவனைத் திகழும் — அத்திருமகளுடைய சேர்த்தியால் திகழும்; பவளத்து ஒளி — பவழங்களின் ஒளியை; ஒப்பனை — ஒத்திருப்பவனை; உலகு ஏழினை — ஏழு உலகங்களுக்கும் நிர்வாஹகனும்; ஊழியை — காலத்தை நிர்வகிப்பவனும்; ஆழி ஏந்திய கையனை — சக்கரத்தை கையிலுடையவனும்; அந்தணர் கற்பினை — அந்தணர்களால் ஓதப்படுபவனை; கழு நீர் — செங்கழுநீர்ப்பூக்கள்; மலரும் வயல் — மலரப்பெற்ற வயல்களை யுடைய; கண்ணமங்கையுள் — திருக்கண்ண மங்கையில்; கண்டுகொண்டேனே — கண்டுகொண்டேனே
