Worship Tirunaṟaiyūr Before Old Age Arrives

கிழப்பருவம் வருமுன் திருநறையூர் தொழுக

1478 கண்ணும்சுழன்றுபீளையோடு ஈளைவந்தேங்கினால் *
பண்ணின்மொழியார் பையநடமினென்னாதமுன் *
விண்ணும்மலையும் வேதமும்வேள்வியுமாயினான் *
நண்ணுநறையூர் நாம்தொழுதும்எழுநெஞ்சமே! (2)

Simple Translation

1478. When you grow old you won’t be able to see and your eyes will be filled with mucus. Girls with words as sweet as music may tell you, “Walk slowly. You may fall. ” Before that happens, O heart, rise, we will go to Naraiyur and worship him who is the sky, the mountains, the Vedās and the sacrifice.
