மனத்திருந்த தேனே! உன்னையே சரணடைந்தேன்

1460 மானேய்நோக்கியர்தம் வயிற்றுக்குழியிலுழைக்கும் *
ஊனேயாக்கைதன்னை உதவாமைஉணர்ந்துணர்ந்து *
வானே! மாநிலமே! வந்துவந்துஎன்மனத்திருந்த
தேனே! * நின்னடைந்தேன் திருவிண்ண்ணகர்மேயவனே!

1460 மான் ஏய் நோக்கியர் தம் * வயிற்றுக் குழியில் உழைக்கும் *
ஊன் ஏய் ஆக்கை தன்னை * உதவாமை உணர்ந்து உணர்ந்து **
வானே மா நிலமே * வந்து வந்து என் மனத்து இருந்த
தேனே! * நின் அடைந்தேன் * திருவிண்ணகர் மேயவனே 3

Simple Translation

1460. You are the sky, the earth, and honey. You came to me, entered my heart and remained there. I stayed in the womb of doe-eyed women and I stayed in this body made of flesh and I realized that births and this body will not give me the spiritual world. O god of Thiruvinnagar, I come to you—you are my refuge.
