who went as a dwarf to the king Mahabali,
cheated him and took the earth and sky
and who saved the long-trunked elephant Gajendra
when it was caught by a crocodile
stays happily in beautiful Pullambudangudi
where birds searching for food for their nestlings
fly to the fertile fields to catch the frolicking kāyal fish.
