திருவிந்தளூர்ப் பெருமானே! எம்மைக் காப்பாற்று

1328 நும்மைத்தொழுதோம் நுந்தம்பணிசெய்திருக்கும் நும்மடியோம் *
இம்மைக்குஇன்பம்பெற்றோம் எந்தாய் இந்தளூரீரே! *
எம்மைக்கடிதாக்கருமம்அருளி ஆவா! என்றிரங்கி *
நம்மைஒருகால்காட்டிநடந்தால் நாங்கள்உய்யோமே? (2)

Simple Translation

1328. We, your slaves and servants, worship you, our father who stay in Indalur. We have enjoyed all the pleasures of this birth. Won’t you be kind to us? Give us your grace and show us the divine path. Isn’t that the way for us to survive?

நும்மைத்தொழுதோம் — உம்மைத்தொழுது; நும் தம் — வணங்கி உமக்கே; பணிசெய்து இருக்கும் — பணிவிடை செய்து; நும் — உம்முடைய; அடியோம் — அடியவர்களான நாங்கள்; இம்மைக்கு — இப்பிறவியிலே; இன்பம் — ஞானமாகிற இன்பம்; பெற்றோம் — பெற்றோம்; இந்தளூரீரே! — திருவிந்தளூரிலிருக்கும்; எந்தாய்! — எம்பெருமானே!; எம்மைக் கடிதா — சீக்கிரமாக ஏதேனுமொரு; கருமம் அருளி — கைங்கரியத்தை அருளிச்செய்து; ஆ வா! என்று இரங்கி — ஆ வா என்று மனமிரங்கி; நம்மை ஒருகால் — எங்களுக்கு ஒரு முறையாவது; காட்டி நடந்தால் — நடந்து காட்சி தந்தால்; நாங்கள் உய்யோமே — நாங்கள் உய்வடைவோமே
nummai — ẏour highness; thozhudhŏm — surrendered, considering to be the means;; nundham — your highness-; paṇi — kainkaryam (service); seydhu — performed; irukkum — to sustain; num adiyŏm — became servitors;; immaikku — now; inbam peṝŏm — got the joy of acquiring knowledge;; indhal̤ūṛīr — one who is mercifully present in thiruvindhal̤ūr; en thāy — you who are like my mother!; emmai — for me; kadidhā — quickly; karumam — kainkaryam which is the ultimate goal; arul̤i — mercifully grant; ā ā enṛu — saying -ālas! ālas!-; irangi — being merciful; nammai — for us; oru kāl — some time; kātti — showing your divine form; nadandhāl — if you mercifully come; nāngal̤ — we who are ananya prayŏjanar (who don-t seek anything other than kainkaryam); uyyŏmŏ — will we not live well?
