கண்ணபிரான் உறையும் கோயில் இதுதான்

1233 பெண்மைமிகுவடிவுகொடுவந்தவளைப் பெரிய
பேயினதுஉருவுகொடுமாளஉயிருண்டு *
திண்மைமிகுமருதொடு நற்சகடமிறுத்தருளும்
தேவனவன்மகிழ்ந்து இனிதுமருவியுறை கோயில் *
உண்மைமிகுமறையொடு நற்கலைகள்நிறை பொறைகள்
உதவுகொடையென்றுஇவற்றினொழிவில்லா * பெரிய
வண்மைமிகுமறையவர்கள் மலிவெய்து நாங்கூர்
வைகுந்த விண்ணகரம் வணங்குமடநெஞ்சே!

Simple Translation

1233. The god of the gods who drank the milk from the breasts of the devil Putanā, when she came as a beautiful woman, destroyed the two Asurans when they came as Marudu trees and killed Sakatasuran when he came as a cart, stays happily in Vaikundavinnagaram, the temple in Nāngur where many generous Vediyars live, reciters of the Vedās and skilled in all the arts. O innocent heart, let us go there and worship him.

peṇmai migu vadivu kodu — assuming the form of the best woman; vandhaval̤ai — pūthanā, who came to deceive; periya pĕyinadhu uruvu kodu — to have her original huge demoniac form; māl̤a — to die; uyir uṇdu — took her life; thiṇmai migu — having great strength; marudhodu — marudha tree; naṛchagadam — the wheel which has the ability to finish the task which was started; iṛuththu arul̤um — one who broke; dhĕvanavan — krishṇa; magizhndhu — with joy; inidhu — to be sweet for the devotees; maruvi uṛai kŏyil — eternally residing without any other expectation; uṇmai migu maṛaiyodu — vĕdhams which speak the truth as it is; naṛ kalaigal̤ — (their) good ancillary subjects; niṛai — complete qualities (acquired by their familiarity); poṛaigal̤ — tolerance etc; udhavu kodai enṛu ivaṝin — the generosity of helping, once asked – all such aspects; ozhivillā — those who are not leaving (having them at all times); periya vaṇmai — magnanimity (i.e. āthma samarpaṇam – submitting oneself); migu — filled; maṛaiyavargal̤ — brāhmaṇas; malivu eydhum — residing densely; nāngūr — in thirunāngūr; vaigundha viṇṇagaram — vaigundha viṇṇagaram; vaṇangu — worship; mada nenjĕ — ŏh humble heart!
