தலசயனப் பெருமாளை நினைவார் எம் நாயகர்

1100 ஏனத்தினுருவாகி நிலமங்கையெழில்கொண்டான் *
வானத்திலவர்முறையால் மகிழ்ந்தேத்தி வலங்கொள்ள *
கானத்தின் கடல்மல்லைத்தலசயனத்துஉறைகின்ற *
ஞானத்தினொளியுருவை நினைவார் என்நாயகரே. (2)

Simple Translation

1100. He took the form of a mighty boar to uplift Bhūmādevī with care. Her beauty was undisturbed as He freed Her from the bounds of the darkened world. As the gods, each in their place, offered praise, He came to dwell in a radiant form of wisdom, at Kādal Mallai, located between the forest and the sea. Those who hold such a Lord in thought, they alone are my true masters.

ஏனத்தின் உரு ஆகி — வராஹ அவதாரம் எடுத்து; நில மங்கை எழில் — பூமாதேவியின் அழகு அழியாதபடி; கொண்டான் — அண்டத்திலிருந்து மீட்டுக்கொண்டு வந்தவனும்; வானத்தில் அவர் முறையால் — தேவர்கள் அவரவர் முறைபடி; மகிழ்ந்து ஏத்தி வலம் கொள்ள — ஆனந்தமாக துதித்து வலம் வர; கானத்தின் — காட்டினிடையேயிருக்கும்; கடல் மல்லைத் தலசயனத்து — கடல் மல்லைத் தலசயனத்தில்; உறைகின்ற — சயனித்திருப்பவனும்; ஞானத்தின் ஒளி — ஞானவொளிபொருந்திய; உருவை — எம்பெருமானை; நினைவார் — சிந்திக்கும் அடியார்; என் நாயகரே — என் தலைவர் ஆவர்

ĕnaththin uruvāgi — Being in the form of varāha; nilamangai — ṣrī bhūmippirātti-s; ezhil — (without disturbing the) beauty; koṇdān — freed the connection (from the wall of the universe) and accepted; vānaththil avar — dhĕvathās such as brahmā et al; muṛaiyāl — as per their respective position; magizhndhu — being joyful; ĕththi — praise; valam kol̤l̤a — to serve favourably; kānaththin — forest (in the western side); kadal — having ocean (in the eastern side); mallai — in mallāpuri; thala sayanaththu — in sthalasayanam; uṛaiginṛa — mercifully reclining; gyānaththin ol̤i uruvai — one who has a luminous form revealing knowledge; ninaivār — those who meditate upon; en — for me; nāyagar — will be lords
