2010 அண்டத்தின்முகடழுந்த
அலைமுந்நீர்த்திரைததும்ப ஆ! ஆ! வென்று *
தொண்டர்க்கும்அமரர்க்கும்
முனிவர்க்கும்தானருளி * உலகமேழும்
உண்டொத்ததிருவயிற்றின்
அகம்படியில்வைத்துஉம்மைஉய்யக்கொண்ட *
கொண்டற்கைமணிவண்ணன்
தண்குடந்தைநகர்ப்பாடியாடீர்களே.

tŏṇṭarkkum amararkkum * muṉivarkkum

Simple Translation

2010. At the end of the eon when the waves of the ocean rose and touched the sky, he felt pity for his devotees, the gods and the sages, gave them his grace and swallowed all the seven worlds and kept them in his divine stomach. O devotees, sing, dance and praise the dark jewel-colored god of cool Kudandai who protected you in his stomach.
