மன்மதன் என்மீது அம்பு எய்கின்றானே!

1958 பூவைவண்ணனார் புள்ளின்மேல்வர *
மேவிநின்றுநான் கண்டதண்டமோ? *
வீவிலைங்கணை வில்லிஅம்புகோத்து *
ஆவியே இலக்காகஎய்வதே.

Simple Translation

1958. She says, “Kāma comes carrying five flower arrows, shoots them at me without stopping and makes me suffer. Am I being punished because I saw the lord as dark as a kāyām flower when he came on Garudā and fell in love with him?”
