சிறுபிள்ளைத்தனம் உள்ளவன்; என்னை ஆட்கொள்

1034 தெரியேன்பாலகனாய்ப் பலதீமைகள்செய்துமிட்டேன் *
பெரியேனாயினபின் பிறர்க்கேயுழைத்துஏழையானேன் *
கரிசேர்பூம்பொழில்சூழ் கனமாமலைவேங்கடவா! *
அரியே! வந்தடைந்தேன் அடியேனை ஆட்கொண்டருளே.

Simple Translation

1034. O mighty lion of Thiruvēṅkaṭam, where firm mountains stand, encircled by flower-filled groves and roaming elephants! As a child, in ignorance, I committed many sins. When I grew older, I toiled for others and became poor. Now, weary and worn, I have come and surrendered at Your feet. O Lord who dwells on the sacred hill, take me in—this servant who has no one else.

கரி சேர் — யானைகள் இருக்கும்; பூம் பொழில் — அழகிய சோலைகளாலே; சூழ் — சூழ்ந்த; கன மா — திடமான பெரிய; மலை வேங்கடவா — திருமலையிலே; வாழ்பவனே! — இருப்பவனே!; அரியே! — ஸிம்மம்போன்றவனே!; பாலகனாய் — பாலகனாயிருந்தபோது; தெரியேன் — அறிவில்லாதவனாய்; பல தீமைகள் — பல பாவங்களை; பெரியேன் — பெரிவனாக; ஆயினபின் — ஆனபின்பு; பிறர்க்கே உழைத்து — பிறர்க்கே உழைத்து; ஏழை ஆனேன் — ஏழை ஆனேன்; வந்து — இன்று உன்னை வந்து; அடைந்தேன் — அடைந்தேன்; அடியேனை — தாஸனான என்னை; ஆட்கொண்டருளே — ஆட்கொண்டருளவேணும்
kari — elephants; sĕr — present in abundance; pū — filled with flowers; pozhil — by garden; sūzh — surrounded; kanam — firm; mā malai — huge mountain; vĕngadavā — ŏh one who is having thirumalā as your residence!; ariyĕ — ŏh lion!; pālaganāy — while being a child; theiryĕn — being ignorant; pala thīmaigal̤ — (further) many cruel acts; seydhumittĕn — having performed; periyĕn āyina pin — after becoming a youth; piṛarkkĕ — needed for others; uzhaiththu — searched and gave; ĕzhai ānĕn — ī, the servitor, lost my ability (now); vandhu adaindhĕn — ī came and surrendered;; adiyĕnai āt koṇdu arul̤ — kindly accept my service.
