கண்ணா! இங்கு ஏன் வந்தாய்?

பொன்னொத்தவாடைகுக்கூடலிட்டுப்
போகின்றபோதுநான்கண்டுநின்றேன் *

கைவிளிக் கின்றதும்கண்டேநின்றேன் *

Simple Translation

702. I saw you one dark night, on my street, holding a girl with a lightning -like thin waist and veiling your faces with golden silk clothes. I also watched you looking at another girl and gesturing towards her. Why have you come to me now, leaving that girl? Dear Nambi, you better go back to her.
