    688. O! beloved lord of Vithuvakkodu surrounded with fragrant blooming groves. If you don't redeem my sorrows, I have no other refuge but You. I am like a crying child that seeks the love of the mother who gave birth to it, even if she goes away in anger.
  • Verse 2:
    689.O lord of Vithuvakkodu surrounded by forts that touch the sky! Even if the husband does condemnable acts, a woman of noble birth doesn't know anyone else other than him. I am like the wife . Even if You don't possess me, I will surrender only at your feet decorated with jingling anklets.
  • Verse 3:
    690.O! god of Vithuvakkodu surrounded by fertile fields where fish swim ! Even if you don't look at me, I have no refuge except you. I am like the people, who depend on their king's authority and scepter even if he gives them trouble.

    691. O my god of Vithuvakkodu! I am like the patient who trusts the doctor and doesn't leave him even if he cuts with a knife and scars him. Even if you cause me pain that I must bear, I am enthralled by you. I am your slave and look only for your grace. and think you are my only friend.

    692. O my father, lord of Vithuvakkodu who conquered the strong cruel-eyed elephant, where can I go and be saved except beneath your feet? I am like a huge bird that wanders in search of the shore, in all four directions, among the rolling waves of the ocean and, unable to find it, comes back to the mast of a ship.

    693. You are my father, the lord of Vithuvakkodu! red lotuses don't bloom if the red-hot fire comes close and emits heat but they open their petals only to the warm rays of the glowing sun. I am like those lotuses. Even if you do not take away my sins and sorrows, my heart only melts for your endless grace and for nothing else.

    694. O my father, lord of Vithuvakkodu, even when it has not rained for a long time, the green crops look at the huge dark clouds floating in the sky hoping it will rain. I am like them. I am your slave. Even if you don't efface my troubles away, my heart will look only for you.
  • Verse 8:
    695. O my father, lord of Vithuvakkodu, the rivers that swell, flood and flow everywhere cannot stay where they are but must join the ocean. I wish to join you as those rivers join the ocean. O virtuous one who have the color of a dark shining cloud. See, I have no way to find refuge except to come to you for your grace.

    696. O lord of Vithuvakkodu, with a glowing discus (chakra) bright as lightning in your hand! Wealth seeks the one who doesn't desire riches but seeks only You. I am like the riches a true seeker ignores. Even if You ignore me, I will come to You. You are my refuge.
  • Verse 10:
    697 Kulasekharan, with a victorious spear composed ten good Tamil pāsurams, expressing his deep love for Thirumāl , the lord of Vithuvakkodu, saying " Even if you do not give me your grace I have no other refuge than your feet. ” Those who learn and recite these ten excellent Tamil pāsurams of Kulasekharan will never go to hell.
