Avathārikai (Introduction)
In the preceding pāśuram, the revered Āzhvār had expressed his profound yearning to take birth as a śeṇbaga tree upon the sacred hill of Tirumalai. This pious wish, however, carries with it the blessed possibility that the temple servitors (kainkaryaparars) might gather its fragrant blossoms to adorn the divine form of Emperumān.
