உன் பாதநிழலே என் உயிர்ப்பிடம்

456 காதம்பலவும்திரிந்துழன்றேற்கு அங்கோர்நிழலில்லைநீரும்மில்லை * உன்
பாதநிழலல்லால்மற்றோருயிர்ப்பிடம் நான்எங்கும்காண்கின்றிலேன் *
தூதுசென்றாய்! குருபாண்டவர்க்காய் அங்கோர்பொய்சுற்றம்பேசிச்சென்று *
பேதஞ்செய்துஎங்கும்பிணம்படுத்தாய்! திருமாலிருஞ்சோலையெந்தாய்!

Simple Translation

456. O father, lord of Thirumālirunjolai! I have wandered for several miles but have found no shade or water here. Except the shade beneath Your feet, I don't see any refuge that would make me survive. O! God! You went as a messenger for the Pāndavās ; entertained a feigned relationship with the Kauravās, made them your enemies and caused their total destruction

குரு — குருவம்சத்திற் பிறந்த; பாண்டவர்க்காய் — பாண்டவர்களுக்காக; தூது சென்றாய்! — தூது போய்; அங்கு ஓர் — அங்கு ஒரு பொய்; பொய் சுற்றம் — உறவைப் பாராட்டி; பேசி — பேச்சு நடத்திட; சென்று — இரு தரப்பினர்க்கும்; பேதம் செய்து — பேதம் ஏற்படுத்தி; எங்கும் — எங்கும்; பிணம் படுத்தாய்! — பிணமாகும்படி செய்தாய்; திருமாலிருஞ்சோலை — திருமாலிருஞ்சோலையில்; எந்தாய் — உள்ள எம்பெருமானே!; காதம் பலவும் திரிந்து — பலகாத தூரம் திரிந்து; உழன்றேற்கு — அலைந்த எனக்கு; அங்கு ஓர் — அவ்விடங்களில் ஒதுங்குவதற்கு; நிழல் இல்லை — ஒரு நிழலும் இல்லை; நீர் இல்லை — நீரும் இல்லை; உன் பாத — உன் திருவடி; நிழல் அல்லால் — நிழலைத்தவிர; மற்றோர் — மற்றொரு; உயிர்ப்பிடம் — மூச்சுவிடுமிடம்; நான் எங்கும் — நான் எங்கும்; காண்கின்றிலேன் — காண்கின்றிலேன்

tūtu cĕṉṟāy! — You went as a messenger; pāṇṭavarkkāy — for the Pandavas; kuru — who were born in the Kuru dynasty; aṅku or — there, You praised; pŏy cuṟṟam — a false alliance; peci — and held talks; petam cĕytu — causing division; cĕṉṟu — between the two sides; piṇam paṭuttāy! — resulting in death; ĕṅkum — everywhere; ĕntāy — o my Lord who resides in; tirumāliruñcolai — Thirumaliruncholai!; uḻaṉṟeṟku — for me, who has wandered endlessly; kātam palavum tirintu — over great distances; niḻal illai — there was not even a shadow; aṅku or — in those places, to shelter under; nīr illai — nor was there any water; niḻal allāl — except for the shade of; uṉ pāta — Your divine feet; kāṇkiṉṟileṉ — I do not find it; nāṉ ĕṅkum — anywhere else; maṟṟor — a place; uyirppiṭam — to breathe
