தேவகிசிறுவன்தேவர்கள்சிங்கம் *
நம்பரமன்இந்நாள்குழலூதக்
கேட்டவர்கள் இடருற்றனகேளீர் *
அம்பரம்திரியும்காந்தப்பரெல்லாம்
அமுதகீதவலையால்சுருக்குண்டு *
நம்பரமன்றென்றுநாணிமயங்கி
நைந்துசோர்ந்துகைம்மறித்துநின்றனரே.

நம் பரம் அன்று என்று நாணி மயங்கி * நைந்து சோர்ந்து கைம்மறித்து நின்றனரே (6)

Simple Translation

280. Our highest lord with red eyes and strong shoulders a lion among the gods, who was born to Devaki as a child plays his flute, listen to the plight of the Gandharvas wandering in the sky, Fascinated by the nectar-like music, they say, “He, the highest, is playing the flute, ” and feeling ashamed that they can’t play like him, they stand, join their hands and worship him.
