புள்ளின் தலைவன்

240 வள்ளிநுடங்கிடை மாதர்வந்துஅலர்தூற்றிட *
துள்ளிவிளையாடித் தோழரோடுதிரியாமே *
கள்ளியுணங்கு வெங்கானதரிடைக்கன்றின்பின் *
புள்ளின்தலைவனைப்போக்கினேன் எல்லேபாவமே.

Simple Translation

240. Yashodā says, "I don’t want him jumping around, playing and wandering about with his friends as women with vine-like waists gossip about him. I’ve sent the lord of Garudā behind the calves to the hot forest paths where there are dry cactuses. What a terrible thing I have done!”

வள்ளி — கொடி போனற; நுடங்கு இடை — துவளும் இடையுடைய; மாதர் வந்து — பெண்கள் வந்து; அலர் தூற்றிட — குறைகூறிட; துள்ளி — அவர்களுடன் துள்ளி; விளையாடி — விளையாடிக் கொண்டு; தோழரோடு — தோழர்களோடு; திரியாமே — திரிவதை தடுக்க; கள்ளி — கள்ளிச்செடி கூட; உணங்கு — உலர்ந்து போகும்படி; வெங் — மிக்க வெப்பத்தையுடைய; கான் அதரிடை — காட்டுவழியில்; கன்றின் பின் — மாடு மேய்க்க கன்றின் பின்; புள்ளின் — கருடாழ்வானுக்கு; தலைவனை — தலைவனை; போக்கினேன் — அனுப்பினேனே; எல்லே பாவமே! — அந்தோ என்ன பாவம் செய்தேனோ!
