233 காரார்மேனிநிறத்தெம்பிரானைக்
கடிகமழ்பூங்குழலாய்ச்சி *
ஆராஇன்னமுதுண்ணத்தருவன்நான்
அம்மம்தாரேனென்றமாற்றம் *
பாரார்தொல்புகழான்புதுவைமன்னன்
பட்டர்பிரான்சொன்னபாடல் *
ஏராரின்னிசை மாலைவல்லார்

Simple Translation

233. Yashodā with fragrant flowers in her hair called the dark one colored like a cloud and told him that she will give him food sweet as nectar, Pattarpiran, the chief of Puduvai, praised by the whole earth, composed pāsurams with Yashodā’s words. Those who recite these pāsurams, will become the devotees of Rishikesā.

pūṅkuḻal āycci — yashoda adorned with flowers; kaṭikamaḻ — that were fragrant; ĕmpirāṉai — to the Lord; niṟattu — with the complexion; kārār meṉi — of dark sky; taruvaṉ nāṉ — when; uṇṇa — feeding Him; ārā iṉṉamutu — the sweet nectar; ĕṉṟa māṟṟam — she felt that she; ammam tāreṉ — was scared to give Him milk; paṭṭar pirāṉ — Periazhwar; putuvai maṉṉaṉ — who lives in SriVilliputhur; pārār tŏl pukaḻāṉ — and praised by the whole earth; cŏṉṉa pāṭal — has given these pasurams describing how Yashoda felt; vallār — those who recite; cŏlmālaiyai — these pasurams; iṉṉicai — that is filled with music; erār — and beauty; aṭiyāre — will become devotees of; iruṭikecaṉ — Rishikesā
