அணியரங்கனுக்கு இருவாட்சிப் பூ

189 சீமாலிகனவனோடு தோழமைகொள்ளவும்வல்லாய்! *
சாமாறுஅவனைநீயெண்ணிச் சக்கரத்தால்தலைகொண்டாய்! *
ஆமாறறியும்பிரானே! அணியரங்கத்தேகிடந்தாய்! *
ஏமாற்றம்என்னைத்தவிர்த்தாய்! இருவாட்சிப்பூச்சூட்டவாராய்.

189 cīmālikaṉ avaṉoṭu * tozhamai kŏl̤l̤avum vallāy *
cāmāṟu avaṉai nī ĕṇṇic * cakkarattāl talai kŏṇṭāy **
āmāṟu aṟiyum pirāṉe * aṇi araṅkatte kiṭantāy *
emāṟṟam ĕṉṉait tavirttāy * iruvāṭcip pūc cūṭṭa vārāy (8)

Simple Translation

189. You befriended the Asura Thirumālihan and cut off his head with your discus (chakra) O lord, you are omniscient and you rest on the Kaveri river in beautiful Srirangam. Don’t cheat me. Come and I will decorate your hair with Arabian jasmine flowers.
