பத்மநாபன்

79 புட்டியில்சேறும் புழுதியும்கொண்டுவந்து *
அட்டியமுக்கி அகம்புக்கறியாமே *
சட்டித்தயிரும் தடாவினில்வெண்ணெயும்உண் *
பட்டிக்கன்றே! கொட்டாய்சப்பாணி பற்பநாபா! கொட்டாய்சப்பாணி.

Simple Translation

79. You filled your hands with mud and dirt from the cowherd village and threw them at me. You entered our house when I was not there and stole yogurt and butter from large pots. You are like a loose calf that is not tied up. Clap your hands, O Padmanābhā, clap your hands.

kŏṇṭu vantu — You bring; ceṟum — the dirt; puḻutiyum — and soil; puṭṭiyil — in Your hands; aṭṭi amukki — and apply them on me forcefully; akam pukku — You enter the house; aṟiyāme — without anyone noticing; caṭṭit tayirum — curd kept in the pot; vĕṇṇĕyum — and butter; taṭāviṉil — in the bowls; paṭṭi — You graze and wander; uṇ — eat; kaṉṟe! — like a calf!; kŏṭṭāy cappāṇi — please clap Your hands !; paṟpaṉāpā! — the one with a lotus-like navel!; kŏṭṭāy cappāṇi — please clap Your hands !
