Kaṇṇaṉ, Who Swallows Butter

வெண்ணெய் விழுங்கும் கண்ணன்

62 தாழியில்வெண்ணெய் தடங்கையாரவிழுங்கிய *
பேழைவயிற்றெம்பிரான்கண்டாய் உன்னைக்கூவுகின்றான் *
ஆழிகொண்டுஉன்னையெறியும் ஐயுறவில்லைகாண் *
வாழவுறுதியேல் மாமதீ! மகிழ்ந்தோடிவா.

Simple Translation

63. Scooping butter from the pots with His little hands, he swallowed as much as He could. His stomach is full and big like a pot. (pot body; butter soul) He calls you aloud and if you don't come, He will throw the discus at you, without any doubt. Oh lovely moon! if you want to survive quickly come with joy.
