துர்கை தந்த அலங்கார பொருள்கள்

52 மெய்திமிரும்நானப்பொடியோடு மஞ்சளும் *
செய்யதடங்கண்ணுக்கு அஞ்சனமும்சிந்துரமும் *
வெய்யகலைப்பாகி கொண்டுஉவளாய்நின்றாள் *
ஐயா! அழேல்அழேல்தாலேலோ அரங்கத்தணையானே! தாலேலோ.

Simple Translation

52. Durga, the goddess riding on a heroic deer sent you soft, fragrant powder with turmeric to bathe, kohl for your beautiful, large eyes and red kumkum to adorn Your forehead. O dear child, do not cry, do not cry. Thālelo, you rest on a snake bed in Srirangam, thālelo.

kalaippāki — Durga with her male deer as her consort; pŏṭiyoṭu — brought fragrant powder; nāṉa pŏṭiyoṭu — like musk and sandalwood; mañcal̤um — with turmeric; mĕytimirum — worthy of applying in the divine chest; añcaṉamum — brought kajal; kaṇṇukku — for eyes; cĕyya taṭam — that are beautiful and wide; cintūramum — brought vermilion for the forehead; vĕyya — on a hot day; kŏṇṭu — placed them before You and; uval̤āy niṉṟāl̤ — stood with respect and reverance; aiyā! aḻel aḻel — o Lord, do not cry!; tālelo! — close your eyes!; aṇaiyāṉe! — One who dwells !; araṅkattu — in Thiruvārangam; tālelo! — close your eyes!
