தேவகி மகனின் திருப்புருவம்

39 பருவம்நிரம்பாமே பாரெல்லாம்உய்ய *
திருவின்வடிவொக்கும் தேவகிபெற்ற *
உருவுகரிய ஒளிமணிவண்ணன் *
புருவம்இருந்தவாகாணீரே பூண்முலையீர்! வந்துகாணீரே.

Simple Translation

39. Devaki who is beautiful as Lakshmi, gave birth to Him even though she was too young to have a child in order to save the world. O girls with breasts decorated with ornaments, come and see His eyebrows. Come and see.

பருவம் நிரம்பாமே — வயது முதிர்வதற்கு முன்பே; பாரெல்லாம் உய்ய — உலகம் உய்ய; திருவின் — பெரிய பிராட்டியின் மஹாலக்ஷ்மி; வடிவு ஒக்கும் — வடிவழகை ஒத்த; தேவகி பெற்ற — தேவகி பிராட்டி பெற்ற; உருவு கரிய ஒளி — உருவத்தால் கருத்த பிரகாசமான; மணிவண்ணன் — மணி நிறத்தனின்; புருவம் இருந்தவா — புருவத்தின் அழகைப்; காணீரே — பாரீரே!; பூண்முலையீர்! — மார்புக்கு ஆபரணம் அணிந்த பெண்டீர்; வந்து காணீரே! — வந்து பாரீரே!

tevaki pĕṟṟa — Krishna was born to the mother Devaki; vaṭivu ŏkkum — who is comparable to; tiruviṉ — Mahalakshmi, the great goddess; pārĕllām uyya — to save the world; paruvam nirampāme — when she was way too young; pūṇmulaiyīr! — o women who wear adornments on your chest!; kāṇīre — observe!; puruvam iruntavā — the beautiful eyebrows of; maṇivaṇṇaṉ — krishna, who has a gem-like hue; uruvu kariya ŏl̤i — with a dark radiance; vantu kāṇīre! — come and see!
