588 போர்களிறுபொரும் மாலிருஞ்சோலையம்பூம்புறவில் *
தார்க்கொடிமுல்லைகளும் தவளநகைகாட்டுகின்ற *
கார்க்கொள்பிடாக்கள்நின்று கழறிச்சிரிக்கத்தரியேன் *
ஆர்க்கிடுகோ? தோழி! அவன்தார்ச்செய்தபூசலையே.

Simple Translation

588. O friend! In Thirumālirunjolai where elephants fight with each other and play, the blossoming mullai flowers on the vines in the forest laugh at me i The vines that grow in the rainy season bloom as if to say, “You will not survive!” To whom can I tell the pain that his garland gives me?
