துவராபதிக்கு என்னைச் செல்ல விடுங்கள்

625 கூட்டிலிருந்துகிளியெப்போதும்
கோவிந்தா! கோவிந்தா! என்றழைக்கும் *
ஊட்டக்கொடாதுசெறுப்பனாகில்
உலகளந்தான்என் றுயரக்கூவும் *
நாட்டில்தலைப்பழியெய்தியுங்கள்
நன்மையிழந்துதலையிடாதே *
சூட்டுயர்மாடங்கள்சூழ்ந்துதோன்றும்
துவராபதிக்கென்னையுய்த்திடுமின்.

kovintā kovintā ĕṉṟu aḻaikkum *
ūṭṭak kŏṭātu cĕṟuppaṉākil *
ulaku al̤antāṉ ĕṉṟu uyarak kūvum **
nāṭṭil talaippaḻi ĕyti *
uṅkal̤ naṉmai iḻantu talaiyiṭāte *
cūṭṭu uyar māṭaṅkal̤ cūḻntutoṉṟum *
tuvarāpatikku ĕṉṉai uyttiṭumiṉ. (9)

Simple Translation

625. “My parrot from its cage, always calls, ‘Govinda, Govinda!’ In anger when I don’t feed it, it calls Him loudly and says, ‘O lord, you have measured the world!’ (ulagalandan) People will blame you and you will all be ashamed, if I leave home and go to His place, Take me to Dwaraka filled with high palaces and leave me there. ”
