Avathārikai (Introduction)
In this profoundly moving pāśuram, Śrī Āṇḍāḷ directs her words towards the peacocks, who dance with joyous abandon, their plumage magnificently displayed. Beholding their dance, which serves only to remind her of her beloved Kaṇṇa Perumān, she questions the very propriety of their carefree display in the presence of one who is suffering
