Simple Translation

2101. The gods sprinkle fresh flowers, fold their hands and worship the beautiful divine lotus feet of the lord who cut the chains on the ankles of his father and released him and took the form of a dwarf and swallowed the earth and the sky.

பெற்றார் — வஸுதேவர் தேவகியுடைய; தளை கழல — கால் விலங்கு கழலும்படி; பேர்ந்து — பாற்கடலிலிருந்து கிளம்பி வந்து பிறந்தவனும்; ஓர் குறள் உருவாய் — ஓர் ஒப்பற்ற வாமனனாய்; செற்றார் — மகாபலி தன்னதென்று நினைத்திருந்த; படி கடந்த — பூமியை அளந்தவனும்; செங் கண் மால் — சிவந்த கண்களையுடையவனும்; நல் தாமரை மலர் — அழகிய தாமரைபோன்ற சிவந்த; சேவடியை — திருவடிகளை; வானவர் — தேவர்கள்; கை கூப்பி நின்று — அஞ்ஜலி செய்துகொண்டு நின்றவர்களாய்; நிரை மலர் கொண்டு — தொடுத்த மலர்களைக் கொண்டு; ஏத்துவரால் — பணிவர்கள்

peṝār — dhĕvaki and vasudhĕvar, krishṇa‚Äôs parents‚Äô; thal̤ai kazhala — chain to snap open; pĕrndhu — coming out of thiruppāṛkadal (milky ocean); ŏr — incomparable; kuṛal uruvāy — in the form of a vāmana (dwarf); seṝār padi — the world of his enemy mahābali (who thought that it was his); kadandha — one who measured it; sem kaṇ māl — emperumān who has reddish eyes and lot of affection [towards his followers]; nal thāmarai adi sĕ adiyai — the divine reddish feet that resembled beautiful lotus; vānavar — dhĕvas (celestial persons); kai kūppi ninṛu — standing and folding their palms together (like in anjali posture); nirai malar koṇdu — with strung flowers; ĕththuvar — will praise [emperumān]; āl — alas! ī did not get this fortune
