சகடாசுரனை வென்றாயே

தீவிளவின்காய்க்கெறிந்த தீமைதிருமாலே! *

Simple Translation

2200. When Sakatasuran came as a cart, you kicked it and killed him, but that is not all you did. You also threw the calf on the vilam tree and killed the two Asurans. The world may blame you for breaking a cart or throwing a small calf, but you only did these things to protect the world.

திருமாலே! நீ — கண்ணனாயிருந்தபோது நீ; வலி சகடம் — வலிதான சகடத்தை; செற்றாய் — உதைத்தாய்; கண்டாய் — இது உனக்கு; வழக்கு அன்று — தகுந்தது அன்று; வழக்கு என்று நீ — இது நமக்கு தகுதியானது தான்; மதிக்க வேண்டா — என்று நினைக்காதே; குழக் கன்று — அஸுரனாக வந்த இளங்கன்றை; தீ விளவின் — விளங்காயை; காய்க்கு — உகுக்கும் பொருட்டு வீசினாய்; எறிந்த தீமை — இப்படி தீமைகளை; பார் விளங்க — பலர் காண; பழி செய்தாய் — தவறு செய்தாயே
