கார் காலம் வந்ததே என்று தலைவி மயங்கல்

Simple Translation

2484. She says, “The wind blows, the rain pours down and the clouds look like bulls fighting together. The earth is cool and the sky has the dark color of Thirumāl. Is this the rainy season that comes to make lovers suffer in separation? I don’t know. I have done bad karmā. ”

Avatārikai (Introduction)

In the intimate covenant between the divine lovers, the Nāyaka, who is none other than the Supreme Lord, had given His solemn promise to the Nāyikā, the devotee-soul, that He would surely return at the onset of the monsoon season. However, the appointed season has arrived, the skies have darkened with rain, and still, He has not appeared.
