Avathārikai (Introduction)
The unconditional compassion (aruḷ) of Emperumān, our Supreme Lord, whose very intrinsic nature (svabhāva) is to extend His succor without expecting any cause or prerequisite, is indeed the most fitting and ultimate sanctuary for all ātmās (sentient souls). When His divine glance of grace (kaṭākṣam) falls upon a soul, all former
