என் அப்பனை மறப்பேனோ!

3544 அப்பனையென்றுமறப்பன்? என்னாகியே *
தப்புதலின்றித் தனைக்கவிதான்சொல்லி *
ஒப்பிலாத்தீவினையேனை உய்யக்கொண்டு *
செப்பமேசெய்து திரிகின்றசீர்கண்டே.

Simple Translation

3544. How can I ever forget my great Benefactor, witnessing His immense love for me, a great sinner, constantly redeeming and nurturing me, and allowing His great glory to be sung through me, ensuring no flaw enters in?

(i) It is not a matter for any wonder if the Lord sang poems of His great glory Himself. Detailed Explanation

In this fourth pāśuram of the chapter, Āzhvār marvels at the supreme and unforgettable favour bestowed upon him by Sriman Nārāyaṇa. He reflects that it would be of no great wonder if the Lord were to sing His own infinite glories Himself; the truly astonishing act of grace is that He has chosen the utterly unqualified Āzhvār to be the instrument for this sacred task.
