The meaning of the word, ‘Nārāyaṇa’, is expounded further, particularly, the role of the Lord, as the Protector of one and all. The entire universe constitutes His very body and as such, He is bound to sustain His body. He is the sole Architect of the Universe, combining in Himself the triple causes of creation, the Material, the Operative and the Instrumental causes.
In this third pāśuram, as elucidated in the commentaries of our revered ācāryas such as Nampiḷḷai, Āzhvār gloriously explains how Emperumān, in a manner befitting His supreme lordship, is the sole protector of all existence. He is revealed as the one who can be definitively declared as the singular substratum for the entire cosmos. This profound truth is established
